Blue and White Stripes

Blue and white stripes are traditionally associated with nautical themes, but I have seen them look great in many other settings, too. They give such a clean line, while still catching the eye.

In this space, stripes have been used to give the visual effect of a wider room. This porch is actually quite narrow.

Stripes are always a good idea for throw pillows. They pair nicely with other patterns, or speak for themselves. In the room below they are paired with more delicate edges.

See how stripes are also paired with delicate lines and fabrics in this bathroom, only here they opted for zig-zag stripes. This floor was painted with a stencil, although I have seen this done with tile and marble.
