Turquoise and Yellow

...such a great combo, especially for this nursery! I love the added texture of the white shag rug, and the colors that they pulled in with the fabric circles (second photo).

One of my nursery inspiration rooms! Emma's nursery is the same color as the one pictured here (Robin's nest blue by bmoore). Instead of using yellow, I went with a pink accent. I thought it was a little more girly :)

I LOVE the embroidery hoops. I'm thinking about doing something like that above her crib.

Oh. WOW. LOVE LOVE LOVE this room!!! Just painted the kids' room in a Pottery Barn Kids Elephant gray--very refreshing color that looks great on older walls! :) I'm planning on yellow accents--I'm hoping yellow curtains won't be a bit much. The room isn't huge and they're sharing it--so a twin bed and a crib...hmmm...but plain white sounds so boring in a kids' room...

Love it. turquoise is my favorite and I'd have one of these rugs in every room of my house if I could just find the right one.

Deb,

I don't think yellow curtains would be too much. I had orange in my old apartment and it was lovely. I found with bold color curtains, a lightweight fabric is the best.

Melissa,

This is not my nursery, although my nursery has the same walls and floors. I found these pics on a blog years ago. I do want to post some pics of my nursery soon, but I want to recover my chair...maybe I will just leave the chair put of the pics :)

I so so so love this room! I've been meaning to do the embroidery hoop thing for Hazel, but since she'll be sharing with her brother, it might be a little girly...
